Welcome to Mr. Denny's 8th Grade Science Website. We hope you find everything you are looking for and more here. This class will be a demanding yet fun course emphasizing the importance of common science in everyday life.
This course gives middle school students an opportunity to explore a variety of science topics where the inquiry method will be primarily implemented through lecture and hands-on activities. We focus on how science works from an academic perspective emphasizing the use of basic science process skills to make thoughtful conclusions. Topics covered in this class include: motion, forces, friction, gravity, atomic structure, chemical bonds & reactions, minerals, rocks, weathering, soil, erosion, life history, taxonomy, and population dynamics.

3 ring binder (1"- 1 1/2") 5 tabbed dividers loose leaf notebook paper simple calculator pencils (#2 or mechanical) - NO work in pen red pen for grading
There is a one time $5 consumable materials fee for science. Payable to Owasso 8th Grade Center.
